the hearth

The fire in the hearth is the centre of the village. What is your village and what is its centre? What are its values? Do they support your highest good, the Earth and its inhabitants, and future generations? These are difficult questions, but we believe they are serious ones being asked of us.  Let us start simply with a fire, some food, songs and stories, and maybe some grounding earthcrafts and skills, and take it from there.

Come gather once a month to celebrate, share food, stories and songs around the fire. Bring an item to share for our potluck, musical instruments, and meet new and old friends!  We gather to share ancient skills & stories for modern times, so that we can break free from the isolation and return to community-based living. You can bring your own hand work projects, or try your hand at new skills, such as matchless fire making and tending, process wild foods, traditionally done collectively, like the ancient staple, acorns, or other seasonal homestead and wildcrafted projects!

Be prepared for an evening outdoors, dress warmly and please bring your own dishes & cutlery.
